San Antonio in September

Looking at old pictures with Granny
I very rarely play piano anymore (there's a good reason for that!) But I do play for my mom. Here I play and sing (gasp!) from the hymnal while Mom keeps time to the music, as if directing with her hand.
I do love the San Antonio River! Saturday we went downtown to meet our friends, the Gibsons. We wandered around on the riverwalk while we waited for them to arrive.

Maybe not everyone would like to see my pictures of the flowers, but if you like flowers as much as I do, you won't want to miss these...
We met John & Linda along with their daughter Katie at the Alamo. Katie is studying Texas history, and we all took in a bit of history as we wandered around.
Then we had lunch at Casa Rio on the San Antonio River. Mmmm!
Linda and I remember Baylor with much fondness.
We drove to Austin for a visit with the Mcdonalds. Here is the side of their new house, for lots more details,

Kathryn, David, & Uncle Dave came down from Fort Worth to see us too.
We have entered our 2nd 25 years together, considering a Travel theme....
Kathryn lovin' on Granny
Back to San Antonio where we had Sunday evening dinner at an Italian restaurant with the Bartons. Grans & Shannon on the left, and Uncle Ron & Aunt Sheryl with Matt & Shannon on the right
After all these years...
